Maps: Old Essard

Game 20: Druphia's Night

Wherein our intrepid heroes participate in the Urthandrian custom of Azidruphi, Druphia's Night. The night that is the aftermath of The Grieving End, and the celebration of Walking the Path.

The night began with both Knight-Wizard Zivek and the MaeNendrith Stone heading out on their own, while Akeno, Lord Florian and Lady Raine stuck together. Pranks were pulled, blessings were bestowed, and Gods were encountered.

Also, the crew was dosed with psychedelics courtesy of some pixies.

Come the morning, Stone returned covered in childrens' drawings and offerings of flowers, as it seems he has made a good impression to the people of Bayuul. Zivek came back with a black eye and a big smile.

Two weeks remain until the ships sail for Dead Essard. (No pressure.)

Lore: The Old Gods of Erde

Allgis -  God of the Forests

Berk - God of Stone

Degmos - God of the Below

Esra - God of the second Moon

Etria - Goddess of Fire

Helius - God of the Sun

Klarragh - Goddess of the third Moon

Lahga - God of the Waters

Lucia - Goddess of the first Moon

Maw - God of Darkness

Maw killed Esra, casting his body down to Erde. This was Moonfall. All the old gods were killed in the fighting except for Lucia, Klarragh, and Maw himself. The children of the old gods imprisoned Maw, and took up the stations of their parents.

Lore: The Gods of Erde

Aerithia - Goddess of Healing, Protector of Life

Astaorus - God of the East Winds, Patron of Trade and Merchants

Baelon - God of Art and Inspiration, God of Desire, Patron to the Arts

Appears as an exquisitely handsome half-elf, dressed in the absolute height of fashion and with a musical, impossibly alluring voice.

BaoShin - God of Peaceful Death, Patron of those in Suffering

Appears as a serenely calm man of the viewer’s species, but always with curled ram’s horns and azure skin. Usually appears dressed as an itinerant temple-goer on a pilgrimage, again in whatever form that would take for the viewer. Commonly represented with a single blue ram’s horn, drawn from the side.

Belgemir - God of Craft, Patron to Builders, Laborers and Craftspersons

Appears as a strapping man or woman of middle age, with thick worker’s gloves and apron, wielding a variety of tools. Hammers, tongs, knives, anything that can be used in craft. Can be represented with either a stylized forge or any crossed pair of tools. Extra points if the wearer has crafted the symbols themselves.

Etri - God of Chaos, Patron to Demons and the utterly Mad, Father of Demons

GalaRai – God of Decadence and Wealth, Patron to the Rich and to the Powerless

The Green Mother – Goddess of Nature and Balance

Appears as a matronly woman made of pieces of local plant life – trees, leaves, flowers, moss, etc., usually of huge size, as if she were a part of the landscape. Her voice is a warm breeze and a gentle whisper. In her aspect as the Grey Mother, her form is constructed of densely packed and degrading plant matter, on its way to rejoin the soil. Commonly represented by a wreath of greenery or flowers.

Helio – God of the Sun, Bringer of Light and Protector of Children, Patron of Farmers

Appears as an young elven man with radiantly glowing golden yellow skin, so bright that shadows fear to appear in his presence. His symbol is the golden sun-disk with radiating rays of gold.

Kobal – God of Dark Humor, Patron of Soldiers, The Watcher

Often appears as a dark elf dressed in the armor of whatever armed forces one would expect to be near. Short, pale grey hair, unassuming face. Has a laugh that can cause physical pain.

Kolgen – God of Night, Patron of Thieves and Protector of Children

LevenGod of Balance and Joy, Patron of the Hopeful

Lucia – Goddess of the first Moon

Symbol is the pale grey crescent. Her voice is the sound of stone against stone. Lucia is the only old god who was spared by Esra’s crash, although she did not escape unscathed. Her form was cracked and her voice damaged.

Linneus – God of Lies, Patron to the Greedy, Father of Devils

Nephonia Emberianna – Queen of the Fey, First Of Her Kind, She Who Is Without Peer

Noden – God of the Seas, Patron of Sailors and Fisherfolk

Appears as an enormous triton with dark blue-grey skin and thick hair of dull green. His symbol is, perhaps unsurprisingly, a fish.

Ogg – God of Secrets, Patron of Spies

Ophidus – God of Magical Knowledge, Patron of Wizards

Appears as an elderly man (species varies) holding a giant magical tome, and with a ribbon of green fabric tied across his eyes. Both the Book and green ribbon are used as his symbols.

Sarudai – God of Tooth and Claw

Silvus – God of Order, Patron of Generals and Commanders

Appears as a very imposing armored figure. Delicately engraved full-plate armor, not a single inch of skin exposed. Armed with a tower shield and greatsword, each held in one massive hand. The shield in silver is the common symbol. Speaks plainly and simply; his voice is an echo.

The Vagabond – God of Risk, Patron of Gamblers, Explorers, and Adventurers

Appears as a dark-blue-cloaked, androgynous, elven figure. Cat-like eyes, long straight hair of pure silver. Followers often adopt an article of dark blue clothing (often as not, a cloak). Not really known to have clerics (surely exceptions exist), but is one of the most often-invoked dieties of Erde.

Valka – God of Death, Patron of Murderers and Assassins

Appears as either a shadow of pure black or as a naked humanoid figure the color of charcoal, with wet and stringy hair covering their eyes and lightly panting through exposed black teeth. Speaks as a voice too loud to bear, coming from inside one’s head. Symbols vary, but the two most common are a single black tooth and a random inksplash, half scratched away.

Yushin – God of Vengeance, God of Justice, Patron of the Wronged

Zephra – Goddess of the North Winds, Patron of Sailors
